Craig Silvey’s acclaimed novel Jasper Jones was introduced in 2009 and talks about the dark times of racism firing in Corrigan, a small town in Australia. The book is world-renowned and has received many awards in both Australia and the international arena. For book reviewers, it is seen as Australia’s answer to ‘Kill a Style of Regiment’. Rachel Perkins dictated her bravery and made the book a beautiful film with interesting staging and clever choice of characters. Contrary to people’s expectations, the script is not the main character Jasper Jones, but 13-year-old Charlie Bucktin is someone who realizes that justice is not as simple as it sounds.
